Wilson's Phalarope, Phalaropus tricolor

Status

Two records.

The May 2007 record was a cracking adult female found by Colin Addington on the lagoons, mid-morning on 4th May. It remained faithful to the lagoon in the northwest corner of the site until 09/05/07 and would usually be swimming around behind the local Gadwall and Mallard, presumably picking up the invertebrates they disturbed. This bird was relocated the following day on the Nene Washes, Peterborough.
